The Huevos series follows the adventures of Toto, a young rooster, and his egg friends—Willy, Bibi, Confi, and Tocino the bacon—typically set at a Mexican chicken ranch called Granjas el Pollón. The first two films, Una película de huevos (2006) and Otra Película de Huevos y un Pollo (2009), were animated with 2D digitized traditional animation and were major box-office successes in Mexico. The latter three entries—Un gallo con muchos huevos (2015), Un rescate de huevitos (2021), and Huevitos congelados (2022)—were produced using full computer animation.

In the first film, newborn egg Toto is taken from his mother hen and must find his way home. The sequel follows Toto as a chick kidnapped by an egg stone wizard. Un gallo con muchos huevos features Toto as a grown rooster who battles a champion fighter to save his home. Un rescate de huevitos involves Toto and Di rescuing their newborn egg children from Russian thieves in Africa. Huevitos congelados, released streaming-only on Vix+ on December 14, 2022, sees Toto returning a polar bear and penguins to the South Pole while evading evil circus owners. A spin-off film featuring Confi is reported to be in development.
